Roma Cleanweb Hackathon: a weekend of connective intelligence

On November 30th Enlabs Srl, in association with Cleanweb Worldwide will hold the first Italian Cleanweb Hackathon, bringing together developers, designers and business professionals to build applications that tackle energy, waste, water, and other sustainability issues by leveraging web and mobile technologies.

The Roma Cleanweb Hackathon will be hosted by Roma Tre University. This great venue in Via della Vasca Navale, 79 previously hosted successful events like Codemotion and Global Game Jam and offers an excellent context for the Cleanweb 48-hour open encounter dedicated to “hands-on software innovation” for sustainability.

The Roma Cleanweb Hackathon takes place in 48 hours the weekend of 30th November through 2nd December 2012, initiating with the kickoff, briefing, idea pitching and team-building Friday afternoon and evening.

Participants are free to propose any projects relevant to the themes listed and may make use of open data, data provided by the event partners, or bring their own data. Sunday afternoon, “live” applications are demonstrated to the jury and the public. The best of these win awards.
