Contest Explosion: Videomapping at Civita di Bagnoregio

The Explosion Contest is dedicated to the promotion of cultural heritage through projects implemented in public spaces. The contest allows the participation of national and international artists who wish to create performances using the church of the village as a background.
The following call is open to individual artists, groups, collectives, intending to create performances with lights, images and sounds, thus contributing to the cultural value of the contemporary creation through innovation and visual arts. Dynamics that are inscribed with absolute perfection within the Ci-vita Festival, scheduled for 25, 26, 27, August 28, 2016 in the hamlet Civita di Bagnoregio in the province of Viterbo, in the Lazio.
All selected videos will be shown and a jury of experts will choose the winners.
The jury is composed by prof. Luca Ruzza and the artists Pasquale Direse, AggelikiTsekeni and Michael L. Dotolo.

The Ci-Vita Festival, “The culture of beauty“, is the first festival that celebrates the beauty of life and that, in spite of the slogan that has always marked Civita di Bagnoregio as “The Dying City“, Civita is chosen as the ideal location for full enjoyment of the rebirth of music, entertainment and art of living. The Ci-Vita festival is configured as a load mosaic of visual, auditory and tactile (signals) that enhance the charm of the place thanks to the interaction with the human groups who live and act in these same places. The festival aims to bring to light and reflect on these complex dynamics that bind spaces, people and emotional dimension through the potential offered by the languages of multimedia and interactivity. All videos submitted by the artists will be screened during a dedicated evening, where there will also be awarding of the video mapping, when a jury, chaired by prof. Luca Ruzza, will choose the winner of the prize.
